Join us in The Abbey at Pub Italia (home of Ottawa’s largest beer selection) for an Italian evening featuring some unusual and hard-to-find Italian wines and beers, matched with tasty hors d’oeuvres. Vendange Institute instructor and FoodMODE Magazine editor, Allyson Bycraft, will be your host, guiding you through a tasting of 6 wines and 3 beers matched with appropriate dishes, with commentary by Vendange Institute grad and Vinum Novum wine agent, David Mollica and Pub Italia manager and FoodMODE beer columnist, Danny McCallum. The wine and beer line-up includes selections we promise you’ve never seen before!

La Vendemmia - Ottawa's Celebration of Italian Wine & Food

In Italian tradition, harvest time is when Farmers gather together to celebrate the earth's bounty, catch up with their neighbors, and offer their produce. It is a time of merriment, celebrating the end of the intense work involved in planting, growing, and harvesting. Wine -- being such an integral part of any gathering of friends -- has its own celebratory harvest tradition.
